We might think of this as a season of bombardment, but you can turn political seasons into positive experiences. We'll help you make it through 2008 without wanting to kill your computer, your television or your neighbor!

Deepening Citizen Deliberation: Talking Over the Fence-Or-Civility Within the Cubicles

Come to campus for an evening of deliberative skill building and decision making. Featuring internationally recognized authorities Dr. John Gastil, a UW Department of Communication professor who teaches political deliberation, small group decision making, and public scholarship, and Dr. Walter Parker, a UW College of Education professor who teaches graduate seminars on curriculum controversies, global education, civic education, and democratic education. Put your deliberation skills into action by discussing a community issue with people who have the power to implement your ideas.
