Be a judge in the 2008 Student Biotech Expo

The Northwest Association for Biomedical Research (NWABR) invites you to be a judge for the 2008 Student Biotech Expo on May 28.

The Student Biotech Expo, a unique high school science fair, attracts over 300 students from 22 different schools in the greater Seattle area. Students research a biomedical or biotechnology topic of their choice and then present their work in one of eleven different categories, such as art, music, drama, web design, creative writing, as well as more traditional categories such as research and molecular modeling.

- Judging is an opportunity to meet students as well as interact with other judges from the community.

- Judges will be sent projects in advance and should plan to be available on May 15 from 3-5 p.m. for a prejudging Expo meeting.

- Judges will also need to attend Expo on May 28, (approx. 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, to view projects, interview students and select the prize-winning entries.

More information about the Expo and judging opportunities can be found online.

If you are already signed up to be a judge, THANK YOU! If you have colleagues who would enjoy this opportunity, please invite them to join you. There is no better way to support and encourage our next generation of scientists and citizens. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to working with you again soon.
