The Meydenbauer Center is adjacent to Interstate 405 at N.E. 6th Street and 112th Avenue N.E. in downtown Bellevue. Most convenient off-ramp from I-405 is at NE 4th Street (Exit 13A).

Parking garage available at Meydenbauer Center. Parking is pre-pay at time of entry: $9 cash, debit or credit.

*Note: We are a nonprofit organization and set ticket prices so the chapter breaks even. As a result, we are not able to issue refunds for last minute cancellations.

Special Award:
The June Anderson Almquist Award for Distinguished Service to Journalism will be presented to Frank Garred, retired newspaper publisher, journalism professor and one of the founders of the Washington Coalition for Open Government.

Keynote Speaker:
Jack Hamann, Seattle-based author and journalist
Jack’s career spans 27 years, including a decade as a network correspondent and documentary producer for CNN and PBS. He also worked locally at KING-TV. Jack’s work has earned dozens of journalism honors. His 2005 book On American Soil: How Justice Became a Casualty of WWII, is a nonfiction investigative account of one of the largest and most controversial events in American civil rights history. The book was directly responsible for an October 2007 decision by the US Army Board for Correction of Military Records to overturn the verdicts in the infamous 1944 Fort Lawton court-martial.

Baby spinach, Rogue River bleu cheese, spicy pecans, roasted red peppers, dried apricots with herbal vinaigrette

Entrees (select one):

  • Lavender-roasted chicken breast with dried apricot sauce, sweet potato gratin, seasonal vegetables and braised leeks
  • Spice-roasted wild Alaska halibut with lemon caper butter sauce, ratatouille vegetables, rice pilaf with pine nuts and herb roasted tomatoes
  • Pear and gorgonzola-stuffed ravioli with yellow beets, pears, grapes, gorgonzola and pine nuts (vegetarian)

Dessert:
Chocolate crème brulee
