Calling NW Excellence in Journalism award winners in Washington!
We want to celebrate you and your award-winning stories at a free, in-person event in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood on Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Bring your colleagues and come for an evening of networking at The Comeback, located at 1950 First Avenue South, Seattle.
For the past two years, SPJ Western Washington has celebrated award winners of the Northwest Excellence in Journalism contest virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As the emergency orders expire and the nation and state continue to open up, we want to provide an opportunity for award recipients to collect their awards and certificates, as well as network with the journalists in the Washington community.
The 2022 Awards Social event is restricted to those 21 years and older. There will be light snacks, sweets and alcoholic beverages for purchase at the bar.
The Comeback has graciously provided the venue for this event. We thank owners Floyd LoveLady and John Fish for this wonderful space and their assistance in celebrating great journalism.
