Which stories would make great videos? How should you think about planning a shoot? And what should you know about lighting and sound to get the most out it?

Join SPJ Western Washington and Seattle-based videographer Riley Morton for a crash course in video storytelling, Tuesday April 7, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at The Seattle Times. Morton has produced adventure sports and travel-related video for everyone from Microsoft and Jansport to PBS, the National Geographic Channel and Discovery.

Come hear about his adventures, learn from his mistakes and walk away with a solid understanding of how to shoot video that doesn’t suck. This event is free for SPJ members.

This is the final event in the Society of Professional Journalists’ 2015 Continuing Education series.
