23 Sep More on the Narrative Writing Workshop
Are you a writer or editor in Oregon or Washington?
Have you thought it’s time to take your writing to the next level?
Do you want to be a more dynamic writer?
Would you like to give your audience more?
Then this Narrative Writing Workshop is for you!
Branch outside of the normal inverted pyramid scheme and into the art of storytelling. On Saturday, Dec. 12 in Portland, Ore., the Society of Professional Journalists hosts a Narrative Writing Workshop that shows you how to use narrative writing to enhance your daily reporting and the strength of your newsroom. Early career reporters and front-line editors are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the workshop, but all are invited to learn options for reinvigorating the writing craft.
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Tom Hallman Jr. will lead the program in Portland, Ore. The freestyle conversation includes discussion on the following topics:
— Defining narrative writing
— Reporting for narrative
— Long form narrative storytelling
— How you can apply narrative techniques to your daily reporting
— Strategies for your newsroom
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to invest in yourself and your writing!
