SPJ co-sponsors Seattle CityClub election events

SPJ is a co-sponsor of two October Seattle CityClub election events:

CityClub and The Seattle Times present Election Debate: Seattle City Council in partnership with the Seattle Public Library. The event will be in the Microsoft Auditorium at the Downtown Seattle Public Library, 1000 4th Avenue in Seattle. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. with the program running from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but registration is required. Presented in Partnership with Seattle Works, Speed Candi-dating and Seattle Trivia: Expore your ballot from top to bottom. Do you find your  voter’s pamphlet to be a bit too impersonal? Want the opportunity to really  get to know what’s on your ballot, top to bottom? Join CityClub and SeattleWorks to talk directly with local candidates and initiative representatives and finish the evening with Seattle Trivia with your new candidate friends!
Enjoy appetizers and beverages while discussing issues in an intimate setting with local candidates and other citizens. This program will be at Rainier Square, 1333 Fifth Avenue. The event costs $15. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with the program running from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Again, check the CityClub website to register.

 

What is CityClub? CityClub is a civic  engagement organization informs, connects and engages citizens to evaluate  complex issues, make sound judgments and contribute to solutions that address  issues vital to our region. CityClub presents 35-40 public affairs programs each year featuring almost 100 leaders and newsmakers from around the region and across the nation.
